About Me
My name is Matt Munroe; I am from Dunstable, Massachusetts, and I recently graduated from Drexel University's Film and Television program. I really love the process of visual storytelling, and it's been my dream for a long time to work in this industry. I always loved movies growing up; I remember seeing Star Wars for the first time and being completely mesmerized. I knew then that I wanted to be a filmmaker.
In high school, I volunteered at The Groton Channel, where I set up and recorded different in-studio and out-of-studio shows. I am experienced in setting up the required cameras, lighting, and audio for studio and on-location productions.
At Drexel University, I took an array of advanced classes in cinematography, lighting, audio recording, production, and editing. Drexel taught me about all sides of production, from writing to post-sound design. My senior project, “Laughingstock,” was the culmination of my studies but also a learning experience in itself. I co-wrote and directed a 10-minute horror short film, which I have submitted to several film festivals.
Presently, I'm just starting my professional work career. I'm eager to work hard and prove I can face any challenge. I'm currently working at Lunenburg Public Cable Access as a part-time videographer. I am seeking an additional full-time position in video production.
